Order Shipping App
USER RESEARCH | USER FLOW | WIREFRAMES | USABILITY STUDY | MOCK-UPS | PROTOTYPING
The goal of this project is to create an order shipping app for a local printing company. The company provides a way for artists to print their work in small to large batches on high-quality materials. They wanted an easier way for customers to order and track product shipments.
The Research
When I began this project, I reached out to a number of artists that sell on Etsy or in boutiques. There were 2 pain points that stood out. The first was most users found the order tracking process confusing. Many times you had to use a third party site to track the order and it involved too many steps for users who were not tech-savvy. The second pain point is not being able to ship to multiple addresses. Shipping to multiple addresses would get artists’ work to boutiques faster and with less cost to the user.
The Process
With the two pain points in mind, my goal was to create an app that focused on product orders. It needed an easy way to view orders and an in-app way to track. It also needed a way to ship to multiple addresses with tracking.
After conducting the first round of user research, I received feedback that there needed to be an easy way to add previous addresses. I created an address book that could be accessed at checkout and from the user profile.
the result
An app that allows artists to order their pieces, ship to multiple addresses, and track each shipment.

Flows to Follow
Create a painted wooden frame and checkout, adding one address from saved addresses, and one new address.
Check on the shipping status of the order you just placed.
